Kellie Hiatt and Codex were pleased to host Tema Staig, Executive Director of Women in Media, at the Codex LA office to get an overview on the RAW workflows available for the leading cinema camera systems.
Codex showed the cost savings and value of High Density Encoding for ARRIRAW files. A complete end-to-end workflow was demonstrated from capture to colour correction with Codex ColorSynth accessing the shared Media Vault storage that was playing back from a Premiere Pro timeline.
Completing this eco-system of shared storage and access to ARRIRAW MXF and Apple ProRes MXF files was an iMac Pro workstation running the latest versions of the industry leading Non-Linear Editing systems from Apple, Adobe, and Black Magic Design. All systems support the CODEX Media Vault storage system and were streaming back from the Media Vault providing multi-layered grades using CODEX ColorSynth and Keys for complete creative control.
