Following up on the successful release of Codex Production Suite 4.0, Codex is announcing full support for the ARRI ALEXA SXT and ALEXA Mini with release 4.1. This release is a free upgrade for Codex Connect users.
NEW FEATURES INCLUDE
- Support for ProRes RAID Capture Drive from ALEXA SXT (requires ARRI RAID driver on OS X – included in 4.1 installer).
- Addition of Camera and Framing presets for ALEXA Mini and ALEXA SXT.
- Support for ALEXA Mini ARRIRAW/MXF formats.
- Clone from ALEXA Mini ARRIRAW on CFast 2.0 to a CFS formatted Transfer Drive.
- Process ARRIRAW MXF to ARRIRAW sequential files.
- Support for Phantom Cine files (including ACES and ACEScc)..
- Processing quality can be set manually in Vault Review.
- Support for Stornext shares on Codex S and XL-Series.
- Deliverable option to select debayer algorithm for SONY RAW material.
- Matrices for SLog3 processing.
Codex Production Suite is available on the Vault S-Series and Vault XL-Series and on Mac OS X (Mac Pro or MacBook Pro - see website for recommended specifications).
IMPORTANT NOTES
SXT users should NOT use DTS-3.0 software with footage recorded on the SXT. Production Suite 4.1 build is needed for the latest SXT support.
There is currently a known developer bug with Apple regarding USB-3 support with OS X 10.12 Sierra. This affects the USB-3 Dock operation meaning that the majority of the time the Capture Drive will not load successfully. If users plan to continue to use the USB-3 dock, remaining on El Capitan 10.11.5 is recommended until this is addressed.
