What types of Production Suite Licence are available?
1) Production Suite Licence - Customers who have purchased a new Capture Drive Dock, or signed up for a Codex Connect subscription are entitled to a permanent fully featured Production Suite Licence for their Capture Drive Dock.
This includes tools for cloning of camera original data, metadata editing and timeline image QC tools, audio sound sync, metadata burn-ins, reporting and deliverable generation from HD to 4K, supporting a number of image and video formats.
2) Free VFS-only Production Suite Licence - Any customer who owns a Codex Capture Drive Dock can register for a permanent VFS-only Production Suite Licence. This licence will enable copy of camera-original data from the Codex VFS and viewing of thumbnails and metadata in the Vault Platform app Library.

How do I upgrade to Codex Connect and a fully featured Production Suite Licence?
How do I enable a Production Suite licence on my Computer?
Once a Capture Drive Dock has been registered for a Production Suite licence, there are two methods of adding it to any Mac:
1) If your Mac is Online - Install Production Suite 4 and connect your Capture Drive Dock. The licence will be downloaded from the Codex licence server and will then remain on your Mac even when you go offline. Now, whenever you connect the Capture Drive Dock, your Production Suite licence can be enabled.
2) If your Mac is Offline - Use the Production Suite licence key, which will be issued for each Capture Drive Dock once registered. Install Production Suite 4 and connect your Capture Drive Dock. Open the Vault Platform app and login. Go to Preferences - System - Add Licence and paste in the Production Suite licence key.
If you are a rental customer, please ask your Rental House to supply the manual licence key if you cannot get online, or contact support@codex.online
*Please note that when using a USB3 edition Capture Drive Dock, you will need to insert a Capture Drive before the licence will be activated.

How do I find the hardware key for my Capture Drive Dock?
Connect your Capture Drive Dock, open the Vault Platform app and login. Click the Blue Ring and go to Preferences - System.
A 20-digit hardware key will be displayed - for example: A123-B456-C789-D012-E345 (Thunderbolt 2 dock)
*Please note that you will also see a hardware key for your specific Mac - for example F678-A901-B234-C567-D890 (system) - this should not be used for Capture Drive Dock Licence requests.
**Please also note that when using a USB-3 edition Capture Drive Dock, you will need to insert a Capture Drive before the hardware key is displayed.
